The bible says...

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

"He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Mat 4:17

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God" Eph 2:8

To REPENT means:
To consciously change your mind about yourself, ie: You are totally depraved, totally deserving the wrath of God and with no way of changing yourself or remending your condition, by any human methods, techniques or strategies or good works. True faith is not produced by our old human nature.

Which should lead you to...
Consciously acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God; that He and He alone as a man lived a sinless life, and that He died in our place, so that we would not have to pay the penalty we deserve. This is called justification and is the ONLY WAY to be reconcilied to Almighty God. That He (Jesus) now sits at the righthand of God making intercession for us and continuelly filling us with the power of His Holy Spirit. That through Him, we can overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil and that He (Holy Spirit) is at work in us to will and to do good works, for which we were created. These (good works) are the result of salvation and NEVER the basis of salvation. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, for the glory of God alone.

Which should lead you to...
Believing in your heart (and mind) and confess with your mouth: That God sent His only begotten Son into the world. That Christ died for our sins and was buried and rose again on the third day.

When you confess with your mouth, you are letting God know you believe His Word is true. By the faith He has given you to believe in Him. The Bible tells us that "without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

Here is a sample of what many have said to God:

"Dear Lord, I am a sinner! I have lived my life for myself. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and that you were buried and rose again on the third day to sit at the right hand of God. You did what I could not do for myself. Take control of my life, be the Lord of my life. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. Thank you Lord for your everlasting grace and your free gift of salvation. Amen."

Now What?

If you've have cried out to the Lord for his mercy and forgiveness from your heart (and mind), and have believed His report...
You are saved! You may not feel any different. Many religious systems led you to believe that you should feel something
- a warm glow, a tingle, or some other mystical experience. The fact is, you may, or you may not.

The Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure!
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
